25 DIY ARGAN OIL SKIN CARE RECIPES

1. Moisturizing Facial Mask

Ingredients:
1 tbsp of Argan Oil
2 tbsp of Oatmeal
1 tsp of Honey

Instructions: Place the oats in a bowl and add little warm water (not hot) to make them completely soft. Add Argan Oil and honey to the bowl, then stir it thoroughly, until the mixture should turn like a paste.
Method of using: Let this paste sit on your face and neck for about 10 minutes, wash off with lukewarm water and then with cold water. This mask will add a healthy glow to your face and nourish it deeply.

2. Rejuvenating Face Mask For Oily Skin

Ingredients:
3 drops of Argan Oil
1 tbsp of Lemon Juice
3 tsp (Greek-style) of Yogurt
 
Instructions: Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and stir thoroughly.
Method of Using: Apply on a clean dry face, leave the mask on face for 10 minutes and then wash off with cold water.

3. Face-Brightening Mask

Ingredients:
5 drops of Argan Oil
1 tbsp of Honey
2 tbsp of Fresh Lemon Juice

Instructions: Add all ingredient into a bowl and mix together thoroughly
Method of Using: Massage onto a clean face for 5 minutes. Leave the mixture on face for 10 more minutes and then rinse with cold water.

4. Exfoliating Mask

Ingredients:
1 tbsp of Argan Oil
Egg White (albumen) from one egg
3 tbsp of Fresh Milk
2 tbsp of Sugar
Instructions: Place the egg white in a bowl, add all other ingredients with the egg white then stir the mixture till a smooth paste is obtained.
Method of Using: Massage this paste on face and neck for 4-5 minutes and rinse off. Follow the process with few drops of Argan oil on face and neck as a moisturizer.

5. Homemade Toner

Ingredients:
2 tbsp of Rose and Orange Blossom Water -
4 drops of Argan Oil

Instructions: Mix 4 drops of Argan oil with 2 tbsp. Rose and Orange Blossom water.
Method of Using: Apply the mixture on face and neck in upward strokes with help of a cotton swab.

6. Multipurpose Anti- Aging Serum
Ingredients:
1 oz of Argan oil
1 oz of Rosehip seed oil
1 oz of Carrot seed oil
2 drops of Frankincense
2 drops of Myrrh
2 drops of Neroli
1 drop of Patchouli
3 drops of Rose oil

Instruction: Mix all the ingredients and store in a dark glass bottle. However, it is recommended to use Bottle with a dropper because of easy application.
Method of using: Apply few drops of this serum on cleansed face and neck every day before going to bed. The serum should be stored in cool, dark place. Shake the bottle before each use. The serum has a shelf life of 4-6 months.

7. Face Wash For Sensitive/Aging/Sun-Exposed Skin

Ingredients:
¾ cup of Argan oil
¼ cup of Aloe Vera gel –
1 drop of lavender essential oil
1 drop of frankincense oil

Instruction: Mix and stir all the ingredients and pour in a bottle with a dropper.
Method of using: Pour a few drops on your palms and massage gently on face and neck for 1-2 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Always apply on daily bases.

8. Acne and Pimple Reduction
Ingredients:
2 to 4 drops of Argan Oil
Instruction and method of using: apply and massage 2-3 drops of Argan oil to a clean face two times a day. When this is carried out on a daily bases it will increases sebum production under skin to restore the lost moisture resulting in more outbreaks.

9. Mask For Dull and Lifeless Hair

Ingredients:
1 tsp of Argan Oil
1 tsp of Olive Oil
1 tsp of Honey
1 tsp of Castor Oil  
1 egg of Egg Yolk

Instruction: Place the egg yolk in a bowl, add honey and mix and stir thoroughly. Now, add the oils to the mixture, then mix again till the consistency gets runny.
Method of using: Wet your hair till it get damp, then apply the mask from root to tip of hair. Leave for 1 hour for better results or for at-least 30 minutes. Rinse with shampoo and follow with applying some drops of Argan oil to the damp hair again to work as a leave in conditioner.

10. Hot Oil Massage

Ingredients:
2 tbsp of Argan Oil  
2 tbsp of Almond Oil
2 tbsp of Avocado Oil
1 cup of Virgin Coconut Oil

Instruction: Pour all the oils into a bowl and heat in a microwave for about two minutes.
Method of using: Damp your hair with some water. Test the oil before applying on scalp. It should not be very hot. Make sections of hair and apply the mixture evenly on scalp and hair with your fingers. Cover your head with a plastic cap and sit under a hooded dryer for twenty minutes. If you don’t have a dryer, take a steam bath or wrap your hair with a towel soaked in hot water and wringed instead of plastic cap. Remove the cap or towel, wash hair with mild shampoo and follow with a few drops of Argan oil into the damp hair as a leave in conditioner.

11. Conditioner For Dry Hair

Ingredients:
10 ml of Argan Oil
5 drops of Peppermint Oil
5 drops of Lavender Oil
30 ml of Jojoba Oil
60 ml of Boiled and cooled water

Instruction: pour all the ingredient into a bowl and Mix then fill a spray bottle with the mixture.
Method of using:  Always shake your bottle very well on daily bases, then spray a little of the mixture on hair whenever you need a leave in conditioner. This conditioner nourishes your hair without weighing it down. It has a nice and refreshing smell too.

12. Heat Protection
Ingredients:
2 drops of Argan oil  
2 drops of Olive oil

Instruction: Pour and mix the two oils together in a bottle
Method of using: Wash and apply the mixture on your hair from root to tips after. Best method to apply this is to rub them on palm and then apply on damp hair. This will prevent damage caused by heat when you step out.

13. Dry-Itchy Scalp Relief

Ingredients:
1 tbsp of Argan Oil
1 tbsp of Tea Tree Oil
A small amount of Natural Clay
Shampoo- (Tea-tree oil)

Instructions: Soak clay in some water to make a paste, then add and Mix Argan oil and tea tree oil in a bottle
Method of using: Exfoliate your scalp at first by massaging clay gently on scalp for 2-3 minutes. Rinse well with cold water then apply oil mixture on scalp with your fingertips. Leave for 1 hour and then wash off using a tea-tree oil shampoo. This can be repeated two-three times a week.

14. Dandruff Removal

Ingredients:
1 tbsp of Argan Oil
1 tbsp of Coconut Oil
1 tbsp of Lemon Juice

Instruction: Pour all the ingredients into a bowl, then heat for some minutes till the coconut oil gets melted and all the oils are mixed well. Allow the mixture to cool a little.
Method of using: Make sections in hair and apply oil evenly on scalp. Massage gently for 10 minutes and wash your hair after an hour with a mild shampoo. Repeat this every second day to moisturize your scalp and reduce dandruff.

15. Fizz Taming and Detangling Spray

Ingredients:
2 tbsp of Argan Oil
5-6 drops of Lavender Oil
¼ cup of Jojoba Oil
Some Water and spray bottle

Directions: Fill the spray bottle with water leaving space for the oils. Add the oils to the water and shake thoroughly.
Method of using: Shake and spray a little on your damp hair making it easy to comb. It will also add a nice fragrance to your hair. Oils will not remain mixed in water for a long time so shake your bottle well before every use.

16. Protection From Water Damage

Ingredients:
4 to 6 drops of Argan Oil
4 to 6 drops of Evening Primrose Oil
4 to 6 drops of Grapeseed Oil
4 to 6 drops of Almond Oil

Instruction: Mix 4-6 drops of Argan oil, Evening primrose oil, Almond oil and grapeseed oil in a bottle
Method of using: Before you enter a pool or sea, first apply 4 drops for Argan oil on your hair. This will act as a barrier between your hair and the damaging agents. After you come out of the pool or sea, wash your hair with normal water. Then apply the mixture on your hair and scalp for few minutes with this. Leave for 10-15 minutes. Wash off with a mild shampoo.

17. Body Butter

Ingredients:
½ cup of Argan Oil
½ cup of Coconut Oil
1 cup of Shea Butter

Instruction: Use a double boiler to melt Shea butter and coconut oil by placing them on the top. Remove and let it cool for half an hour. Add 20 drops of essential oil of your choice (optional). Lavender oil is a good option for an enchanting fragrance. Stir the mixture to make the consistency similar to butter. It will take only a few minutes. Put this in a clean, glass bottle.
Method of using: Shake and apply the mixture on your body, although, it will last for many days as only a small amount of it will provide sufficient smoothness and nourishment to a large section of body.

18. Exfoliating Body Scrub

Ingredients:
½ cup of Argan oil
1 cup of Sea salt

Instructions: Mix and stir Argan oil and sea salt thoroughly.
Method of using: Apply the mixture on wet skin, especially to elbows and knees area. Massage the scrub on body for 2-3 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. Pat yourself dry. This scrub works great during both summers and winters. Apply a few drops of Argan oil on the body after the bath for extra hydration.

19. Moisturizing Lip Balm

Ingredients:
2 drops of Argan Oil
A pinch of Vanilla Extract
A pinch of Fine Brown Sugar
    
Instructions: Simply pour and mix all the ingredients in bottle.
Method of using: Massage gently on your lips with your finger tips for 2-3 minutes to moisturize your lips. Apply one drop of Argan oil on lips two times a day to get relief in chapped lips.

20. Cuticle Softening And Pushing

Ingredients:
4 drops of Argan Oil (massaging), 4-5 drops (mixing)

Instructions: Mix and stir 4-5 drops of Argan oil with water to make the manicure and Pedicure processes more effective.
Method of using: Massaging the cuticles with Argan oil regularly keep them soft. Apply Argan oil on nails and massage gently. Leave for 15 minutes and then wash off. To get rid of excess cuticles around the nails, massage the cuticles with Argan oil and then use a cuticle clipper to trim the cuticles. Thus, after trimming or pushing back the cuticles, make sure to wash off the Argan oil.

21. Nail Strengthening And Growth

Ingredients:
4 to 5 drops of Argan Oil
1 tbsp. of Fresh Lemon Juice

Directions: Pour and mix Argan oil and lemon juice in bottle, then stir thoroughly.
Method of using: Apply on the nails. Remember to remove nail polish before application. Massage the nails for 2 minutes and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse with water. This increases the strength of nails and prevents cracking and peeling. Hence, the nails grow long and healthy with regular application.

22. Nourishing Hand Cream

Ingredients:
1 cup of Argan Oil
¼ cup of Beeswax
¼ cup of Rosewater

Instruction: Melt the beeswax completely in a bowl. Remove from heat and add Argan oil. Blend the oil and beeswax thoroughly using a stick blender. While blending, add rosewater slowly to the mixture. When the texture is creamy, pour it into a glass jar and allow cooling.
Method of using: Use this hand cream two times a day. It will moisturize and pamper your hands.

23. Hand Mask

Ingredients
5 drops of Argan Oil
1 tbsp of Lemon Juice
Half of a small one of Avocado

Instructions: Pour and Mash avocado in a bowl, then add Argan oil and lemon juice to it.
Method of using: Stir well and apply on hands and nails in a layer. Leave for 10- 15 minutes and wash off. This hand mask is an excellent softener which nourishes the hands, prevents drying and also aids nails growth. Use this mask once in a week.

24. Foot Scrub

Ingredients:
1 tbsp of Argan Oil
1 tbsp of Jojoba Oil
1 tbsp of Olive Oil
1 tbsp of Sunflower Seed Oil
¼ cup of Sea Salt
Instructions: Pour and mix all the ingredients together in bottle
Method of using: Rinse foot with warm water and then with cold water, then massage the foot for 5-7 minutes with it. This will remove hard, dry skin, make feet and heels soft and smooth and moisturize them deeply. You can also apply a few drops of Argan oil on feet after scrubbing to get better nourishment.

25. Body and Bath Oil

Ingredients:
7 to 10 drops of Argan Oil
4 to 5 drops of Lavender Oil

Instructions: Pour and mix Argan Oil and Lavender Oil in bottle.  
Method of using: Simply add the mixture to a tub of warm water to get a relaxing and hydrating bath. Then Soak yourself in for 5-10 minutes. Pat yourself dry. Apply a few drops of Argan oil over your entire body after this. This can be done once in week.
